Lol. Easiest money ever. (Error in mission generator)

Was docked in a pirate station, which was also selling slaves, a mission popped up in the board ... to acquire and bring them 2 slaves...

Accepted... bought slaves... delivered them (from one stall on the station to another I guess)... and got ~+25k for doing (almost) nothing...

I love free cash :D.

I do not see that as a bug but rather luck of being in the right place at the right time. Happens in life all the time.

That's weird. I had one in empire space and when I went to turn them in it wouldn't let me. Was yours a smuggling mission? I ditched the mission, but I wonder if I just left and redocked if it would have let me.

This is why I am nowhere in real life: I had a similar thing happen and I though: Ah surely it won't work if you buy at the same station.

Is there an emoticon for facepalming yourself?

It's not an error, you get the bad reputation of being a slaver. Question is, is worth the money for the repercussions you have in the future?

Hm not sure if it's not kinda bugged though. If you wait a few minutes after completing the mission you can get up to 2 similar missions again.
So you can make 20k-40k+ profit every 5 minutes just sitting inside the station and updating the bulletin board.
Don't think that is intended...

Trading missions shouldn't work at the same station.

it happens.. and im thankful for it.. Ill sell as many slaves as I have to to get my ASP! ;)

Ive BOUGHT slaves in systems that had missions that were trying to help them and free them, WHILE it still had "bring us slaves for 40k" missions in the same board at the same time.. Ill assure you, i bought them, and they were not donated back to the same station :) but I did get enough to upgrade my shield!

I'm more concerned that I can find slaves just floating around in space in soup cans... and when i do find them, they are STILL sold to the first station who pays me for em!
:)

*shrugs* you could always consider it as a faction using you to purchase them as an intermediary.

Maybe so they don't get directly linked to the sale (for whatever reason).... Or maybe like kids paying a homeless guy to go buy them alcohol
