The Realm has been running as an online gaming community since 2012. We have thousands of members worldwide and our community is thriving so vividly that a couple of our members have begun looking at making the transition from online to offline.
There are many ways to find like-minded people online, but currently there aren’t many places for gamers and eSports fans to go to socialise together in-person. A gaming and eSports bar blends the pub, as a traditional social venue, with a unique set of features
to appeal to people who share our hobby, and there are currently very few of these bars in existence.
To begin with, we’re looking at opening a venue in London. If our formula is successful, we will look to expand to population centres all around the world.
In order to help kickstart our endeavours, we are entering into 2015’s ‘Pitch to Rich’. This is a competition in which businesses compete for up to £150,000 in marketing, and for us in particular the opportunity to partner with Virgin Media is extremely attractive.
You can find our pitch here. Due to some technical issues with the website in the initial voting stage, many of our members and supporters were unable to register their support on the Virgin website. The competition organisers have therefore kindly arranged for a second window of opportunity to secure votes.

Remember that while this venue is set to be located in London, if successful we will be looking to expand elsewhere. A strong show of support for eSports venues also increases the likelihood of others springing up in your area.
