Long Distance Haulage Missions?

Ok, so where are the long distance haulage missions these days? (not to Colonia or wing missions, I mean the few hundred Ly versions that used to be at Sothis). I've spent the last 4hrs or so trying to find some, but nada.

Have these been 'vanished' by updates or just moved from Sothis by the BGS? All I can find are adjacent system deliveries that pay basically nothing and are as boring as hell. I really hope they haven't been hit with a nerf hammer! I used to love those missions, even after the payouts got reduced!

I've been out of the game for a while due to health reasons, and was out of the bubble before that on an expedition, so not really up to speed on missions etc in the bubble.

I haven't seen these for months. New stations in Pleiades still had them before thargoids and everything happened. Mission board has probably changed several times since then. I haven't really done any hauling missions anymore, since it seems there's no market for a long distance, medium cargo capacity Python anymore. Maybe it's changed again, haven't checked lately.

Sadly, these missions seem extinct. However, if you fit up passenger cabins, you can get very similar styled long range hauls for good money, if willing to make round trips.

It was the start of the big nerf hammers. Just like the long haul smuggling runs from Maia many moons ago. Those paid for my first Conda.

I saw a few caro missions at 120+ Ly at Ray Gateway / Diaguandri. Quite seldom - maybe every 20th mission board.

Last place i remeber seeing these was in Niu Hsing,quite some time ago though.

Loved doing them in my Python.

I saw some, can't remember if they were in Sothis or in Robigo, one of refinery or extraction stations in those systems. Think it was Robigo. I do remember they were for very long distances, around 400 Ly.

How about good paying short range haulage missions then? I would love to find a place that payed well for haulage missions, but each time I try I end up doing passenger missions again cause the haulage missions I have seen just can’t compete. I am not not talking about ranking up - just good plain money.

There was a lot of long haul for a few weeks, flew back last night and they have all disappeared. Didn't bother checking other long haul Hubs like Aditi/Fehu etc.

The long haul routes where averaging 5-7 million per 120 tonnes, not great but you could take a whole bunch in a Cutter or T9. They also seem to have got rid of the 50 million 180 tonne missions, either that or half the forum nuked the mission board out there last, my forum inbox is completely full, should have kept that one quiet.

@C64Fan - There are plenty of high paying short haul missions, I got back from the bubble last night. Filter for Boom state systems exporting precious metals.

Niu Hsing used to be a good source of long haul mission but that has dried up now, they now only have donation missions. I have to admit I haven't seen any long haul since 3.0 dropped.

When long range smuggling died, a lot of fun in the game died. I loved the challenge, fail on scan, multiple interdictions and multiple ships dropping into an interdiction, and I loved the cash when everything went well. But we can't have fun in ED, fun must be nerfhammered, for all we are allowed to do is slowgrind.

I thought there was a payout cap put in place not long ago of like 30mil. Can you take those 50mil Cr Meta Alloy missions without the game crashing?

The cap was raised to 50million in 3.0, these cargo missions have been in the game for a long time. As of yesterday evening UK time, I haven't seen any xeno missions, somebody probably reported them.

How interesting. Maybe I'll take a trip out to OO and see what I can see.

Those xeno missions are not appearing anymore. They where from the surface port, not Obsidian Orbital. Palin still offers those salvage missions, but they only pay around 1 or 2 mill.

Ahh OK. The faction list looked just like OO/Maia so I just assumed. I'm still gonna bounce out there real quick and take a look around. It's been a while since I landed a big ship on a planet anyway.

Whilst you are in the system check out Maia point, haven't been back for a while, it used to my main port for high paying missions.

Right, things are definately screwy here. When I logged on this morning in Cubeo, long range missions started spawning. I managed to grab 6 and complete them. Now I'm back and absolutely nothing! I've also done some of the other long range 'hubs'. Also nothing. Systems are in boom, but this doesn't seem to matter anymore.

Unless I want to wing up and / or just deliver next door, go pew pew or be a coach driver, it seems that I'm screwed. Not happy
