Long Distance Haulage Missions?

Just been out in Maia but didn't try Maia Point. Buggered if I'm travelling all the way back after combing half the bubble in a wasted night of playing! Please let us know if it's even remotely worth checking out! Very disillusioned at the mo

So your signature shows that you have been on a 65.000ly trip AND back in “Distant Worlds”, but you hate flying about 400ly to Maia?

It's not the distance. I've done just shy of 1.4 million Ly's so far and the Trade Cutter I'm in actually has more jump range than the (pre engineering) Anaconda I did a lot of that distance in! It's the going to a destination only to be dissapointed. Again. Repeatedly. It knocks it out of you
My apologies for the delay but I got sidetracked doing some sightseeing at the Alcatraz Prison Ship that got whacked by the Thargoids and took a peek at Eagle Eye one in the same system.
And I had to stop and get my Cutter from HR 1183.
Here at Maia Point I found these three boards.
They are not even long distance runs so you could make them pretty quickly and even grab a few decent mats in the process.
Too bad my play time is at it's end for the night or I would make a few runs while I'm here and keep an eye out for any long haul ones that might appear.

Yeah - okay, I understand. I think we have all been there. Do you need money badly? Perhaps you should do what you love most in the game for a couple of days, and then get back - or play another game for a few days. We all need a break from time to time. Don’t just keep going and going no matter what because you are stubborn. I have killed more than one game because of just that.

No, I don't need the money, I just used to enjoy the missions. I've recently come back to the game after an enforced extended absence due to illness, and I've also been playing other less intensive games during my recovery time when I could. I'm just trying to get back into ED (after a pretty intensive re-engineering session for most of my fleet!)
As the game strapline says, play your own way. Only apparently I can't seem to any more
