Hi CMDRs,
I have an AspX with a 5A FSD and a stock fuel tank. Now I do like to carry everything but the kitchen sink around with me, so this is no stripped down build, but currently I have a 30ly jump range.
So I just plotted a 300ly+ journey from KZ Andromedai out to Maia on the fastest route setting (no cone or fsd boost set) and the route planner was happy to do that ... the latter part was dotted but I figured that my fuel scoop would see me good.
However, when I looked at the nav panel, it said something like 13 jumps to Maia, but there was no jump point that had the route icon next to it (this has happened to me before). So, I went to the filter and selected only FGBFOAM systems and applied that to route thinking that the planner would now know that I was guaranteed fuel for the journey, but no, same result, route plotted fine but no jump point with a route icon for my first jump in the nav panel.
So I launched anyway, followed the route back to my start point, selected just the 1st point on the route (which was already <30ly) and jumped there with no issue and scooped. I then had to replot a route to Maia, follow it back to my current location and select next point and jump to it. I had to rinse & repeat quite a few times until finally a route plotted (if I recall with no dotted lines) and then I finally had a jump point in my nav panel with a route icon next to it and could jump & scoop all the way to Maia.
Is this how it works or am I doing something wrong? Should I have just shortened my route to before where the dotted lines appeared and then replotted to final destination when I got there?
