Newcomer / Intro Long flight times

Hi guys,

I am a noob, just wondered if there was any way of avoiding the long flight time from the nav beacon at LHS 3447 to Dalton Gateway. It's something like 109000Ls away so takes like 7 or 8 minutes to get there. Any tips?

Don't know the system in question, but unfortunately no, hyperdrive will drop you in front of the "main" star in a system (I don't know how this is determined, I believe it should be the most massive star).
The best you can do really is know how long it takes you, roughly, to get there if you point in a straight line at full throttle, and you can just minimise and do something else. I usually have youtube playing on my second monitor, so it's not a problem for me, but the long flights can be tedious, unfortunately.
