Some good suggestions, some where my experience is different, some where I disagree.

Tutorial is something that you should do. Forcing I'd always bad, but leading the players there on their first time is a good idea.

Mining is easy, but the way collector limpets work should be explained. You don't need to target the prospector btw, just don't target any scoopable object. A mining tutorial would be a good idea.

Trading works good, the ingame tools let you find good routes with a little bit of work, but I wishould that my computer would remember the prices from the station that I have just visited.

I don't understand the problem with signal sources, they tell you what kind of signal source they are before you drop in? Some knowledge helps to find specific ones, but for missions they tell you by scanning the beacon or with a scanner.

The SRV controls beautifully with a hotas, at 0.05g on ice you have to reduce speed and/or fly a lot though ... makes sense though.
More variety is always good, but I haven't run out of things to do on planets yet. It is getting more every patch too.

Missions have improved since Lauch, but there is a lot of room for improvement left. That people are to lazy to read isn't FD'S fault though, back in my day you read whole books *raises walking cane threatingly, wobbles and quickly pus it back on the ground*

Power play ... Well, I like the idea ... lets leave it at that. hope they revisit it someday. Especially since my home system has come under control and I can't do anything about it.

um... I dont know how the ship should be equipped to be effective.

You don't need to equip anything, although a discovery scanner makes it easier.

Either go into the nav beacon and scan it (like you scan another ship, just select it to target it), or if you have a discovery scanner use it. Both ways will reveal the location of the USS.

Its explained in the salvage missions description.
