o7 CMDRs!
I have greatly enjoyed passenger missions, even with the bugs that happen a bit too often. I have been mostly doing in bubble sightseeing missions (as well as A->B passengers). I recently decided to do some in the Maia region to try to get hyperdicted to no avail still. If you have not tried these passenger missions, they can be quite enjoyable depending on what you want out of Elite. I like exploration to see neat stuff, and these passenger missions really do that!
I would like to start doing more scientific expedition type missions, sort of turning my Orca into a expedition/science vessel. What I mean by these are the passengers that want to go 1500+LY to "gather data" (and other similar wordings) and stack 4-5 of these to similar regions. However, my question is do these passengers ever ask for cargo? I'm a bit used to VIPs in the bubble and around that will randomly ask you get them something, and because of this you pretty much always have to have at least a small cargo hold (plus many of those give commodity rewards that if you cannot accept them you have to "fail" the mission even though its completed). I am figuring out my load out to do my first one as a trial and not sure if I need to dedicate a space for a 4T cargo rack or if I can fit a small cabin where that would normally go.
TLDR: Do long range passengers ever ask for cargo?
(and yes, I do know of the "demanding" trait, however that seems rather random as I've had highly demanding passengers never ask for anything with over 500LY of travel to points and passengers without the trait ask for 2T of cargo "at the nearest station")
Edit: what did Chrome's auto-correct do to my title? :O
