PvP Long range/Focused/Efficient/Overcharge

Sooo guys... It's me again.. (After a ban..) *Waves stupidly*

I was wondering what you all though of the Pa upgrades and thier potential...

Like Long range vs Focused vs Efficient vs Overcharge..

Which is best, and which would you reccomend?

:D o7 folks.

Also.. Where's our C1 Pa Frontier ;) hint hint...

G5 short range blaster oversized!
I use it usually anyways at close distance so the 80% damage buff is great as hell :D
Secondly i use efficients on a silent running build that i have to keep SR on while constantly firing the APA's without a need for heatsinks^^

Now thats an interesting one.. I havent yet used short rane due to the obscene heat output, but then that being said.. No distro draw increase.. So I can think of one particular ship that might benifit massively from such a setup...

Usually a nice combo of Eff. and OC plasma does the trick.

Forget about OC, whenever you need something hits hard, get an SRB. The worst thing about pa is DPE imo, and OC doesn't help with improving that. As for the range of SRB... you won't hit any decent pilot further than 1.5km anyway, and you will wrack any bad pilot anyway, so... no big deal. And usually I use efficient and SRB together since their same shot speed and full SRB build is too hot.

If what you want is a general idea, then:
lr/focused if you are going to wing fights;
efficient with SRB for 1v1 and big ships, or you simply have very good aiming.
Works in most cases.

Lol, the pvp meta for PA's and APA's is overcharged if you're ship can handle the heat, not saying SRB is a bad choice but most pvpers using PA's would disagree with you.

Heat is fine, distro draw is not.
Emmmmm, most pvpers...... OK, if you say so.

IDK man, I like hitting targets at 2.5kms instead of 900m.

But to each their own

If you can hit someone at 2.5km with 875m/s pa, it really doesn't matter what you are using anymore, cuz there is a big chance that you can kill him with your toothbrush. Unless he is flying a station or something as big.

Overview table for reinforced plasmas at the FDL
i created a table which shows an overview which combinations of plasma weapons work on the FDL from my point of view, which ones are borderline and which ones you should rather not do.
the green framed parts have proven themselves constantly very well in battle.
It is assumed, however, that you work strongly with the distributor and that it is full before the plasmas are shot.

the table deals only with the plasma modifications that result in a significant increase in damage, i.e. efficient and overcharged or short range.it was worked with G3 overcharge and shortrange on the class 2 plasmas in order not to overstrain the fdl completely.

slow plasmas and fast are imho 2 completely different weapons from my point of view. i would not recommand slow plasmas for beginners cause you must be able to fly combat FA OFF to hit fast opponents. also you should not look for the reticule to land this plasma volleys but cross the flight vector of the opponent so the reticule come to your shot point.

focus plasmas are nice to start with and even the new ones without the thermal reduction work nicely with the actual power distributors. with the focus you can go after the reticule and also hit faster fa off ships when they are G5 engineered which leads to 1750 ms shot speed.

Gute Werte - Good values
Akzeptable Werte - Ok values
Kritische Werte - critical values

atm i personally fly a huge overcharge and middle efficiant on my FDL. This gives the option to fly 3 other strong weapons in combanition with a nearly 300 damage Plasma Volley
