Long term plans

This is in many ways a game which eventually rewards patience. Earning a few million to upgrade a ship, not rushing into docking, carefully husbanding resources for optimal effect, be they a hold of rare goods or a rack of dumbfires.

So, what are your long term plans? Is there a specific goal you have in mind right now to which you are working towards? Have you set your sights on overthrowing a system, owning an A-rated Anaconda, or finding rare weapons like overcharged lasers? Do you want to go to the galactic core or edge, explore the heart of a nebula, look beyond the event horizon of a black hole? Become Elite thrice over? Earn your place at Founder's World? Get permits to all systems?

Good question!

I suppose for me, it will develop as time goes on.
Right now, my plan is to rank up more in Federation, and become allied, so I can safely represent the Federation in foreign space.

Once Planetary landings and the likes come out, things will probably change... hunt for alien life for example.

It would be nice to earn enough to get an anaconda, but it seems that I would have to adopt trading if I am to afford such a vehicle + its running costs.
Right now though, I'm feeling pretty strong as a bounty hunter and enjoying my time ranking up and slowly becoming a fully fledged member of the federation.

My current goal is to have a well kitted out ship for each profession type and then after that i'll be working on my ranks more.

Trader = Lakon 9 (got this)

Bounty hunter = Cobra

Pirate = Cobra

Explorer = ASP

These are my current goals as soon as i have them i'll be setting off to more fully explore the galaxy in my ASP :)

As for myself, I love a good multirole craft. I plan to rank up my Asp to A grade and then set out into the wide black yonder with top of the line scanners. I intend to get a Python, maybe work towards an Anaconda, leaning on go-anywhere do-anything craft. I might try out the Fed Dropship on the way. I want to earn my permit to Sol ( I'm a bit concerned as I've reached top rank with the Feds already and they haven't offered it to me yet), and maybe fraternize with the enemy to see how far it is possible to do so.

And maybe see if I can get Frontier Developments to make Jjagged Bbanner albums a rare commodity in a certain system. ;)

My short term goal is to get this asp in shape, aka combat ready. Then get my feet wet with exploration and maybe bring a mining laser with me for some prospecting :)

Long term goal, see all the nebula from the deck of a clipper. Hopefully by the time I get there we'll see multi crew ships or waking around our ships, which would make the experience one of a kind.
