You can add a few keybinds to cover this, I have a digital ministick on my throttle that I use to move backwards/forwards/left/right and map another button as a modifier (like shift) so backwards/forwards become up/down. One of my hats moves between controls like tab, another across the pages of the left hand panel. The stick itself can convers rotations and zoom.Have not figured a good way to use the Galactic map but useable
I did exactly this when I first got my VR kit, and I've seen the same thing described so many times. It is a very strong experience. It’s all real size, I stood up today, walked behind my chair irl which is the same size as the flight chair in the game and stood there with my hand on my virtual/real headrest and just watched in awe as I sped towards my destination. Absolutely incredible. Have fun re acquainting yourself with the game.
Lol, it’s n my asp I hit my head on the back wall trying to look down the hatch to the lower pilot seat.I did exactly this when I first got my VR kit, and I've seen the same thing described so many times. It is a very strong experience.
Just don't do what I did, walked over to my AspX window and went headfirst into a door frame.
Mate! Thanks for the reply, I did the reload, apparently I missed some of the bindings files and had to restore from a backup, which fixed the HOTAS. Great flying around in the ship, everything seems so much bigger. Have not figured a good way to use the Galactic map but useable
Pro tip:I have voice attack, need to get it configured again.
Just for contrast, while Voice Attack is an amazing piece of software, it's not your only option. I used it for some time, but realized I prefer physical controls.
If that's the case for you, I suggest getting a controller with distinct buttons that you can easily find without looking (or even better, build one yourself!).
+1 for EDDI, it is indeed very helpful, even without Voice Attack.
