Longest grind?

When it comes to the grind I always fail.
I find it dull and need to take a break. I also find it hard to accept. If a video game feels dull.... I tend to change the activity... i.e. read a book or go outside...

Yesterday I was trading for hour and a half and saw this guy in Anaconda also trading on the same route. 4 hours later when I came back... he was still there... I wonder.... how many of you can do such things? Do long grinds w/o a break? What is your longest money grind? I cannot do it for more than two hours at most. Maybe this is the reason I have less than 100kk in spite of playing the game since beta 2.0... ;-)

I don't grind. I play the way I want and don't count credits and don't dream of a next big ship. I play one year and I am in Cobra.

Then why not have a cobra in your sig?

ot: I've tried trading, two runs was the most I could handle. So now I just do as I want although I'm tempted to push on for a python. Worth about 90m atm.

Elite trader here. Never trade for more than an hour at a time. Take breaks, even if to play ED in a different way.

The only time I felt the game was grindy, when I was trying to flip a station using in game mechanics to affect the background simulation - before realising that there isn't one, and you can't.
Imagination and role play is my key to not getting bored.

Probably about 8/9 hours straight, overnight, that was back when I was on vacation. It's always a good idea to remember that the person you saw flying for 4 hours could be having a completely different game experience to you.

I invested a ton of cash on a high end rig, surround sound system, Virtual reality, BK gamer force feedback kit, and a high end range rover sports chair, all with good music blasting in the background. It's pure luxury and time fly's, I would never call it grinding. Get me to trade on a average spec PC and office chair, I would do 30 mins max

I grinded the Diso rares opportunity for about 15 mill credits. about 18 runs in one day in my Asp. Felt like throwing myself off a bridge afterwards. Besides that I never really trade for more than 4 or 5 round trips.

I do explore for weeks too (in fact it is my favorite activity)... but max 2/hrs per day... I do not feel the grind, as jumping into a new system is like opening a box of candies... ;-)

So where are all these people with hundreds of millions of credits? ;-)

For many people, they do something in Elite because there is a reward at the end, like a bounty voucher, or cool planet. For me, seeing those profit numbers when I sell is enjoyable to me, which is how I "grinded".

I wouldn't describe it as a grind, but right after I bought Elite in January, one day I played the game for around 24 hours straight with a few breaks to get up and move around and the day 1.3 came out I played for something like 12 hours

I only get about two hours a day to play (max), so it's a 1 hour trading 1 hour fighting kind of rhythm I've found myself in. That way, I get my 2 million trading a day, and then have some fun in RES and CZ for s few more credits. Eventually I'll work up to the Type 9, but for now it's a Python for trading and a Vulture for pew-pew, and that's all good

I can't even do it in real-life for real money, never mind doing it in a computer game.
