I suppose distance travelled is more impressive as its "longer time spent" ie a week fir me in game time is the coalsack nebula, hardly anywhere lol

but I did spend 4 months out way back when I first got the game which earnt me some 70odd million and I was like wow what the hell I'm rich! Then realised I was still poor :(

Getting over 61 planetary nebula with 30 as not previously discovered (will have to check when I sell if that's still valid, I have noted them down :))


I will be posting a full travel log, waypoints and picture spam at some point. Probably when I'm close to being finished. Expecting to be done in November time (300 Days is my target), I want to double my profit between now and then though if possible and do more ELW/AW hunting rather than travelling :)
I'm tempted to aim for the 1,000,000Ly travelled mark too but doing what I've done in 200 days again in under 100 seems impossible with my new work schedule :p

Last big trip was about 9 months. Plus over a month just to sell the data and capture the information (sigh). Once I have engineered a better jump range (or, rather, after FD support fix why the better jump range I had has vanished), then I expect to be out for at least the rest of the year on the Borderlands mapping project. Life in the bubble is really not for me.

Whilst I am not one of the exploration super stars, I have decent numbers: nearly 11K systems visited, 282K hyperspace distance, 3MM in a buggy.

Great replies Commanders. I am indeed a simple beginner who has taken a tiny step outside the bubble and I doff my space helmet to your vastly greater exploration feats.

Left the bubble the day 2.0 was released. November 15? Got back April 25. The timing worked out so I was at Beagle Point for Distance Worlds launch day. Space madness hit at Sag A when I decided to stay with the fleet and head back to Beagle. Best idea I ever had.

Last trip out was 5 weeks, playing every day. That was my trip out to Sgr A* and back. The next trip out will last considerably longer.

Ten months, 1300 hours aprox. Was going to stay five or six more for a complete circunnavigation of the Milky Way, but had a hard encounter with a canyon wall three quarters along the journey. I'll close the circle soon.

Departed Pallaeni on 14.1.3302 on DWE. Still out. Returning by anti-clockwise leg of FGE SCM, just past 15 Saggitarii. Hope to be back for DWE reunion in December (fingers crossed!) Wibble.
