Okay, numbers. I'd recorded my exploration information before I left for the current trip. That would be rank/percentage, systems scanned, profits and level 2&3 scans.
Before:
Rank: 48% Pioneer
Systems scanned: 7,805
Profits from exploration: 106,564,463
Level 2 scans: 485
Level 3 scans: 4,880
After:
Rank: 100% Elite
Systems scanned: 10,535
Profits from exploration: 201,605,407
Level 2 scans: 489
Level 3 scans: 7,993
Difference:
Rank: 52% to Elite
Systems scanned: 2,730
Profits from exploration: 95,040,944
Level 2 scans: 4
Level 3 scans: 3,113
I also sold the data at different systems around civilised space and gained 15 new system permits. Now wasn't when I was intending to come home as it were, but when you get down to 78% hull, no heatsinks/afmu and a cracked canopy, you head home. Lesson, never drive while tired.
Edit: I meant to add that as I was turning data in, I hit the 100% around the 156m credits earned mark.
