Looking at commissioning a new DSSA carrier, had a few questions.

The carrier in question would be named “Pharos Station,” and would be deployed to Hypatia’s Lighthouse in the Formorian Frontier (a sector which currently has no DSSA carriers). What I’m wondering is, what is the going rate for exploration data sold to these carriers (tarriff)? I’d want to outfit mine with ship repair/refuel/restock, shipyard, outfitting, and cartographics. I would hope it would be possible for it to sustain itself out there without needing frequent credit infusions from me, but I don’t want to gouge people either. Wasn’t sure how other DSSA CMDRs do it.

Afaik there is no tariff for explo data, you get your 12.5%, that's it.

But you should know that there already is a waiting list with ppl who wants to dedicate their fc to the DSSA.

Best bet is to join the fleetcom discord and contact an orga :)

The DSSA doesn't add carriers to the Formorian Frontier because the region is reserved for some future project by Erimus. So, if you want to station your carrier there, you'll have to do it outside the DSSA. If you'd rather be part of the DSSA, pick another region - the IOS, Elysian Shore and Sanguineous Rim regions are also not available, because there were some deep space stations there already.

As for sustaining your carrier... there's no estimate available for all DSSA carriers, but the ones I could get and ask their owners would all cover their operating costs. Also depends on your location of course, how frequently people visit and drop by. You have to cover your upkeep for some years as per the DSSA rules anyway, and with the occasional explorer dropping by to sell data, you should be good to go, no need to keep checking the balance and topping it up.
