Looking for a group of explorers to join

Same here. I haven't played Elite in ages and I'm just coming back to it after all the new changes to exploration.
Greetings CMDRs!
We'd be happy to have you consider membership in AOD; we have many experienced players who would be eager to explore with you! We have members that explore in groups, participate in large community exploration events and some who explore solo but share pictures and fun locations to visit.
In addition to exploration, we also have players experienced in bounty hunting, trading, mining, BGS manipulation (we own 6 systems now), Thargoid hunting (bi-weekly group event), PVP, Guardian tech and exploration. As a group, we're anti-player murder and anti-player piracy -- we play as "the good guys." We work together, help our own and often lend a hand to others around the bubble in need.
