Long ago, when the internet was new and shiny, I used to play a cool little game called "Combat Zone".
Basically, it consisted of a text-editor and a little square "Arena" that looked a bit like Windows Minefield.
You'd open up the text-editor and write simple programs to guide a little robot around the Arena and fight similar robots.
You'd have to ensure it could detect the edges of the Arena and hazards within it, move it around, detect other robots, raise/lower a shield, locate an enemy robot and aim/fire at it.
You could also go to a website and upload/download robot programs and then see who's robots were the best.
Anybody know if there's currently anything similar available, ideally for an Android phone?
