Looking for a Sapi compatible speech engine

i just picked up Voice attack for use in my elite but when installed the program demands a sapi compatible speech engine wich it says i dont have.

When i search for it in google it gives me a hit to this page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=10121

When i enter that page its just a white page with nothing on it. Not text, no linksm just white.

I am running windows 10, could that be the cause of my problems? Can i use any other engines?

I dont mind spending a few bucks if thats what it takes. Didnt see anything on the carevoice page that said speech engine thou.

I would think windows 10 have that built-in. BUT, you might have to use the english / us version. Depending on the version (home, pro, ultimate), you might be able to change that. Probably in control panel - language and whatevertheycalleditthistime or maybe windows update. Or something (I'm not sure of the details, also it varies between versions).

I got windows 7 ultimate, english version, and it works pretty well imho (have to speak english ofc - and I've got a pretty bad pronunciation. Also, better train that speech engine as it says in the Voice Attach docs). Just search for speech in control panel, and you should find some settings there.

Some prefer other speech engines though, but I've not tried any other. There's one called Dragon speech or something like that, I think.
