Looking for a tool/addon/overlay for auto 2-way route select.

Hello !

I'm looking for something that is actually very simple,
When i find a good trade route and go back and forth many many times i get particularly irritated about how tedious it is to simply select 2 location and have a route planned for me so that i can jump to the next systems.

I was wondering if there was any tool that can do that for me. Instead of having to open the Galaxy map, typing the system, waiting for the buttons to pop-up every single times.
Isn't there some kind of overlay that i can enter 2 destinations once and only click ''Plan route'' or something like it ?

I found Trading Computer Extension tool, but as i was installing it i noticed i didn't have a working version of Exel 2013 anymore.
I don't need anything fancy, a simple tool/overlay/mod.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated,
Have a good day commanders !

Don't know of anything like this. Things that modify the game files in any way that affects gameplay may flag correctly or incorrectly as cheating.

I often find the best way is to either use the left hand panel for single jump routes or the galaxy map just as I'm leaving the station. I can usually plot a route before I leave masslock area.
Also if you alt+tab out the game you can use copy/paste shortcuts (ctrl + c and ctrl + v). I had a short name like Sol that I typed and a longer name that I pasted in when doing a lengthy repetitive route.
Finally if you select system map instead of just plot route you can select the starport directly and have it in your HUD ready for you when you enter the system.

Not sure if any of these tips will help but I wish you luck and care. :)

In fact that exactly what i'm doing right now, but i find this kind of odd that in the future where trading in space is an important concept the Navigation technology would be so, soo poor.
I mean, even today its not a hard task to program a simple feature like this.

I really hate having to go on the star map everysingle time just to return to my previous location, ho well i guess it can't be helped. It just feels so repetitive.

But thank you for the response. I do think that Trading Computer Extension Overlays can do this, at least Save locations or plot a course without the need of opening the star map.
I just can't use it.

Only way I could find to deal with repetitive back and fourth trades was to purchase a sidewinder in each location.
This reduced a bit of time for me typing or Copy/Paste by being able to automatically select the system with the (ship in storage) icon displayed above the system.
Not sure if this would help (know it doesn't fix the issue) but it did help me a bit...

This is a funny way to do things, original way to ''save'' a location.
But i prefer using pen and paper, Ctr+c /Ctr+v it is i suppose :p

Understood - not sure if it is a "funny" way to do things....just sharing what I have done to try and speed things up for myself....completely agree there should be some type of navigation control that would allow us to "pre-navigate" to any point or series of points we decide to travel to.

Buy a Sidewinder at each of the stations you are using to trade between, you can then use them as placemarkers in the Galaxy Map
making it easier to spot your destination instead of typing it.
I click Launch then select Galaxy Map, go to the System marked with my Sidewinder, plot route to the station and back out of Galaxy Map just in time for when my ship is ready to launch.
No time lost at all. :)

Tomtom bought 2010, it's able to store favourites and navigate quick to those points. Maybe this feature was removed during the past 1300 years :)

@Inhumierer ; Hahaha ! probably :p

Ps : Thanks Dark Lord and jrb for the suggestion. I will try it, its only a sidey.
I'm only at 50M right now, 50M more to go before i move to a Python i suppose :p

Also, i wish there was a favorite list easy to access especially because i fly using an Xbox Controller and having to switch to the mouse every time.
