Looking for advice on a self-sufficient Cobra Mk III. MAY NEVER RETURN!!! (By choice, of course)

Oh, right, yeah.

It's nuts. Not going for a while mind. Do want to be in the bubble when 2.3 drops, for the CMDR creator. Might be necessary to change colour of the flight suit, too.

Hopefully only to the relevant skin tone I hope! Just for childish giggles obviously, I'm nearly 40 and still giggle at the thought of a Red Dwarf style CMDR exploring in a pair of Y-Fronts because he thinks he's not going to see anyone, or been seen anyway. I must stress that I am not condoning any form of 'Hot Coffee' mod for the CMDR creator. Just immature giggling at certain tones of Remlok flight suit......

AFM can't repair themselves, so pack a small reserve if you can afford the space - maybe leave it off until needed.
Recently read that PowerPlants can't be repaired by AFM (?) - if so engineer mod PP for integrity to last longer (perhaps same for AFM if possible) - but this is not "self sufficiency" only prolonging the inevitable.

That unfortunately is correct, AFMs can't repair power plants, apparently in the 34th century we can't have a little generator stashed in the ships hold to power the AFM when the power plant is off. Just try not to spank into too many stars, and you should be fine, people like Iain666 have been out since the Big Bang....

Be sure to pick a paint job that looks good when it's worn out, because that's what you're gonna be looking at for a long time!

You should consider making a video log of your travels. With a proper quantum redirection router thingy, you can send entries back to us without the Thargoids using them to track you down and murder you like the meat filled pastry we all may become.

Seriously, though, I love this idea. The Cobra Mk III is a beautiful ship and with its top speed, it may be the best option for surviving the aliens (though those flower ships look pretty fast).

Yeah I am considering doing a video log. Especially now I've got a decent microphone via my HyperX Cloud 2.

Just waiting on support to transfer my Xbox assets to PC.
