Hi! I am a commander with a little bit of experience although I am not an expert by any means. I have about a half billion in assets and have been known to fly a handful of different ships while participating in most of the activities the game has to offer. What I have lacked this far is a group and a cause. I am not interested in supporting or idolizing any of the existing powers in powerplay, or even any of the major superpowers for that matter. I don't want to be the space police, I don't want to be a gun for hire, or a common criminal. I don't want to be a terrorist or some corporate employee. I am looking for a group more ambitious than that. Maybe some sort of well organized totalitarian group interested in expansion, growth, and eventually domination of an area of space or all of human inhabited space. Whether they have that goal because of some extreme ideology or just for gaining power for its own sake I don't care. ( I know that galactic domination isn't realistic but it is good to have goals. ) Does such a group exist or am I out of luck?

Hello CMDR!! You seem to have the perfect fit profile for the kind of cmdrs in our group.
We are a group of cmdrs that play the background simulation. Our goal is to establish a nation, free of Powers and allegiances, which we currently are, safe and secure for returning explorers.
I started back in January with one system and righta after expanded to a second one and another cmdr. At this point we are in 5 systems, controlling three of them, 10 cmdrs, our own voice chat, and a pending expansion on the way.

While laudable, the current mechanism is going to make your goal... problematic.
Plans are in place to make some of the minor player factions into major factions just like the current ones. So you might see SEPP or the Templars as a major faction someday, Infi willing
Problem is, once it happens, the group cannot control membership in that major faction anymore. Anyone can sign up and fly the major faction flag.
You are of course welcome to check out the White Templars to see if we are a good fit, and if so come and join us on Teamspeak. If not, everyone has different tastes and safe flying commander!
