Looking for Combat Music for the High Res CZ

My favourite combat music is bluegrass. There's just this certain vibe to going in all guns blazing and banjos playingšŸ™ƒ

Some examples:
Come Dance by Steep Canyon Rangers
Roll On Buddy, Roll On by Sam Bush
The Fire On My Tongue by Billy Strings
Swerving Inside The Lines by Hot Buttered Rum
Fat Little Killer Boy by The Dead South
Graveyard Fields by Steep Canyon Rangers
Lawnmower by David Benedict

Beethoven's 9th - particularly "Ode to Joy" (Walter / Wendy Carlos' synth version is pretty amazing also)
Beethoven - Toccata in D Minor

Inspiring enough... (If they were good enough for "A Clockwork Orange" & "Rollerball", they are good enough for me!)

Ok, I’ll be straying a bit from ā€œdino rock,ā€ and there may be some genres (rap, electronica, grunge, metal) or things that you may not like as you get to the later decades, but these are all, in my opinion, either aggressive / rockish and worthy of a playlist titled ā€œMusic to Kill By,ā€ or have a lot of the ā€œdino rock in new clothesā€ spirit.

p.s. I glossed over you saying you liked EDM stuff, so I didn't put a lot of that in this list, but that's definitely one of my favorite areas as well. I might be back... 😃
Solid list. I'd strike the 70ies and 80ies - that stuff suits better for choppers and jets over jungles.

Some video game stuff has entered legendary status. Obviously there is the Witcher 3 soundtrack but for space combat? Nah. But there is the Part where he Kills You and you know it one hell of a thing when you suddenly go "OMG, this is the Part where he kills me" and you have achieved perfect immersion:

Play it. No watching. The Part Where He Kills You needs to be played personally!

I've turned off the music long ago and choose music based on situations.
For space combat with Thargoids/CZs, I like the Project Wingman soundtrack. You can find the extended 30min versions on Youtube. There are no lyrics so you won't be distracted while your wingman is screaming at you to cover him.
Clear Skies is a great one, especially for the planetary CZs. heavy drum action with a violin flourish. It gets a lot of praise from music critics.
Journey West is another good one, especially for outpost and space CZs. More people like Showdown because it's like a song from Macross or AirWolf or Top Gun and Area88, though I'm not the biggest fan.
Active Contract is a good one when you're hunting pirates. If you can kill off a pirate then jump out before it goes back to the slower portion of the song, you're a god amongst men. Wolf in the Dark is also good for this as well.
Surprisingly, Bankrupt Sea is a good song for mining missions. It's slower but not slow, and not distracting for when you're trying to detonate subsurface missiles.

Don't forget Ricky Skaggs - Get up John
I agree about Billy Strings with Don Julin - No more paper logs, Dust in a baggie, Albino Skunk, Dealing Despair

Old Gods of Asgard - Take Control

From the game "Control", but was a great bit of music during a pretty intense fight sequence, should work well with ED dogfighting too.
