I did pledge for beta a while ago, but didn't follow the news since (except reading the occasional newsletter). So, i jump into the game yesterday, and, frankly i am a bit puzzled by it. What i am looking for, is a thorough tutorial, if there is one in existence. I did play 4 first missions and was finally killed in the 5th, so i jumped into multiplayer, hoping that everything will be intuitive. It isn't.
I am no stranger to simulator games (FSX, elite2, tachyon and few other i can't remember). What i am specifically looking for in a tutorial is the explanation (possibly demonstration too) of usefulness of all the little things the ship can do: What's silent running mode? What is the heat sink and why in the world would i want to deploy it? Where is the galactic map and how to operate different modes of travel? Things like that..
One way or the other i am going to spend hours looking through controls in the options menu, experimenting, trying to use my own brain to figure out every little thing in this magnificent game, but i would appreciate if someone could point a finger and save some of my time.
