Looking for empire advice

So I moved away from my comfort zone (chemaku/ciguru) in Federation space, and have movede to empire space, via a little peek at the earth :D

Any advice for someone just starting there or is it much the smae as federation space?

Where do you buy slaves and are they the profit machine I am led to believe they are?

Any particular reputation empire missions I need to know about?

Rat

I am in empire space, some of the orbis stations are beautiful, thats what made me move.
Imperial slaves are present as a normal commodity, and fairly common, and yes, slightly more profitable than Beryllium, havent been there long enough to get rep missions yet.

One difference is that industrial systems often have good supplies of Imperial Slaves, one of the more profitable items, making industrial more attractive trading partners.

I've been in Empire space for about 4 weeks now and I'm Allied with the Empire and an Earl.

Slaves : Watch out for this one. Even though you are in Empire space, some stations in a system can still be Independent and Imperial Slaves are illegal at these stations. Normal Slaves are illegal at almost all but Anarchies (and possibly Dictatorships?). If you get a good run, they (Imperial Slaves) can net 1200cr profit per ton. It's worth checking a stations 'illegal goods' list from the System Map before committing.

Empire Rep missions are basically the same as anywhere else, with the marked difference of a few asking for either normal Slaves or Imperial Slaves. Also, if you get a mission to get non-lethal weapons / reactive armour, there are many Dictatorships that sell these dotted around. Rank missions seem to be a direct equivalent of the Federation ones, but for the 'kill a General' missions, you end up against a General in an Imperial Clipper.
