Looking for special South America map...?

There's a special hidden map with lush forested mountains around and there's also a height map included. I found out that you should get it if you play the tropical biome and choose South America, some say you have to click the South American tropics on the globe, others say you have to choose South America via main menu. No matter what I never get this map. Is it only available in franchise? Or was it removed? Please my most favourite zoo I ever saw was made on this map and since then I want to play it but can't find it.

I figured it out. It's only in franchise mode. Choose South America and tropical biome and there you go. Nobody ever mentioned that you will never get this map in sandbox mode :p But you can play a franchise zoo in Sandbox so I'm happy now. Thanks for your reply coatifan :)

I LOVE this map. It will be "Sacred Mountain" and I'm not sure if it's going to be a regular zoo. However, there's already an info booth and a toilet :D

You can get in sandbox, somehow -- there's some option to access sculpted maps.

The map is available in any game mode, you don't need to start it as a Franchise zoo and you don't need to do anything special like "click the globe" or whatever. After you click "New Zoo" from the main menu, You just have to select "Tropical" for biome and "South America" for continent, and then just to the right of that change the "Terrain Type" to the Sculpted option.
If you do all that, you'll get that special map, regardless of what game mode you chose.

You might need to own the South America DLC though. Not sure if that "special map" is available without the DLC. I know the sculpted map for Oceania-Desert is a unique one too, but only if you own the Australia DLC.

There is a unique sculpted map for each biome, and then in addition to the 6 biome sculpted maps, there are two special ones. This one, for Tropical-South America, and the other one I mentioned for Desert-Oceania.

If you Google search for this you'll see all kinds of silly hocus pocus theories on how to get the "special map". But all of those discussions are old, from before they added the toggle option that let you pick a terrain type when making a new zoo. It's now easy to get the special maps and you don't need to use any hocus pocus.

Thank you Jaggid Edje, indeed I read a lot of hocus pocus :) For now I have my map and I could swear I chose the flat terrain and I can't remember that I ever saw the word sculpted in the terrain tab, but I will check again.

The English "sculpted" is translated into "uneven" in German. And you're right, if I choose South America and tropics and uneven map, I get the special map, even in sandbox. None of the resources I googled mentioned that. So now I am curious about the other maps. Are they also linked to certain biomes?
