Well, i've choosen system by best parameters, and made it my home, i know, im gonna stay there for years, no matter what, and enjoy playing even alone.Big groups are not by territory. We are very small yet we are big by your definition. Why not help others maintain what they already have, often through years of hard effort?
Ha ha my kind of humourCan I suggest contacting Bottom Hat?
He has a very 'healthy' interest in all matters bottom
Disclaimer, OP ignore this post, it's poor humour based on the word 'bottom' (hee hee hee) and a totally unjustified swipe at an innocent commander who happens to have that moniker in his commerder's name.
Sounds like an enjoyable endeavor. Hit me up if the occasion arises for diplomatic relations. Good luck!Well, i've choosen system by best parameters, and made it my home, i know, im gonna stay there for years, no matter what, and enjoy playing even alone.
On the other hand, what if your small or big(doesn't matter) group one day gone, or almost all members went inactive. So im gonna hold your legacy and place in bubble, which i didn't choose.
So im rather looking for an idividual like me, or two, who shares my phylosophy, than for an established group.
If you are on INARA, I believe you can adopt a faction. It will then show other players that the faction is being actively controlled by players. It could be helpful since most player factions will be more respectful toward your faction if they know a player group is behind them.Good day, commanders.
So, the situation is. After getting very deep into every Elite activity, i got an intention to get in BGS process. But, i really don't like an idea to join some medium or big existing groups, to work on their minor faction.
Seems like a paradox. Perhaps, i don't like how small is single player impact in big group overall.
Im really excited to choose my own system, to get into atmospheric process from the very beginning.
Since you need at least 10 ppl to try to create your own faction, the only way in this case, is to pick one from already existing(normally generated), and start to support it.
Here you can ask a reasonable question- what's the point, if soon or later a big player faction anyways gonna jump in your main or other system and destroy you. But this is exactly the point ) We can see ppl going for months into deep galaxy alone. Matters of your own enjoyment.
For some while, i was searching for the best fitting system, by many parameters.
- Population as small as possible, so you can alone/with 2/with 3 really change things in system. The more population you got, the more effort you need
- Good position, eventually it's 60 ly to both Shinrarta and Deciat(if case you want get to pvp)
- System with big station, since a lot of systems only have a small one
- Quick access to station from star, <500 ls
- Planets with opportunity of Odyssey content
From the 5 very fitting candidates, i choosed one, which is best combo. Then choosed a home faction with just 3,6% influence. Faction is Independent with Corporate government.
A little about me. Played Elite from beta to 2018, then after 3 years of break, i started to play half year ago, with second account. For now, i got fully engineered combat ship, trade ship, and exploration(73 ly jump, 350 000 distance) ship. Despite having engineered for any purpose in game ships, i don't have fleet carrier, and my balance 1 billion credits. I play almost every day, but if free regime. Also pretty good results in pvp, so i can do anything, got possibilities for any activity. I got Odyssey too, but haven't played that much yet- think they will bring better optimisation there soon. So at the moment im flying in Horizons.
Overall, if anyone has an interest, join me. It seems to me, that the most comfortable gameplay for small group of two or three.
- if you dont want middle and big squadrons, all that farm, grind, etc. Calm process in two or three people
- if you like to calmly and leisurely promote your small faction, and watch what happens. meaning to enjoy what a couple/3 of people can do on their own
- any kind of activity to the liking- pve, exploration, bgs, pvp if you want
- I absolutely don't care which mode to play, but 95% of time i spend in open
- free schedule, 2-3-several hours a day

Yes, i made squadron both in game and INARA, and connected it to chosen faction. If you are on INARA, I believe you can adopt a faction. INARA allows you to edit a faction to indicate whether it is a player controlled faction....Yes, i made squadron both in game and INARA, and connected it to chosen faction.
But, what you mean by you can adopt faction? Like, you can somehow turn your supported randomly-generated faction into player faction? How you do that?
Oh, the bottom field is inactive for me... INARA somehow know it is not a player faction. I could only set "related minor faction" in my squadron details, so it show if faction being supported by squadron/single players.INARA allows you to edit a faction to indicate whether it is a player controlled faction....

I think there is a way to set it to adopted. I can swear I've seen the "adopted' designation when checking around INARA.Oh, the bottom field is inactive for me... INARA somehow know it is not a player faction. I could only set "related minor faction" in my squadron details, so it show faction being supported by squadron/single players.
Ok, I am not losing my mind.Oh, the bottom field is inactive for me... INARA somehow know it is not a player faction. I could only set "related minor faction" in my squadron details, so it show if faction being supported by squadron/single players.
