Looking for x52pro drivers and software

So I just picked up this stick and the default drivers from the disk, bombed on install (missing a .dll). Went to the Saitek web site and their downloads do not work (FTP site is timing out. Called them and they said it would be 48 hours and it would be fixed. Well 48+ hours later and still not fixed. So frustrating, have a 160$ piece of equipment and cant even use it:mad:.

Does anyone have the current drivers and software, can you possibly send them to me? Please help a stranded CMDR;).

Ok those are the same links on the Saitek site but do not work for me. Do you think you could zip them up and upload somewhere which I can access or send them to me ( i can give you a location (PM) if that will work). Thx for the reply.

Strongly recommend plugging the stick into USB 2 only. It solves problems for many people.

/agreed...Thx

err i could upload the drivers themselves since it's 7MB
the programming software is 100 odd and it's take me a fair while to upload on my 860Kbit connection :/

Wow this is getting frustrating bad. Just had to uninstall the Saitek junk from my box as it has crashed 3x. I located the file it was crashing on and sure enough. It's history now so I am back to my original problem of no new drivers or software. In addition the only items I could find by Saitek is written for XP gezz they need to update their stuff. I really wish I wouldn't have spent 160$. I am a dumb a**.

I had a frustrating time trying to get mine to work with my new PC and eventually figured out that the USB3 support on my motherboard was causing the conflict (note: I am not technical, it took me a lot of internet searches). I had to disable it in the BIOS. This may not be your issue but here's the thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=15257&page=2

Thank you for the information. I knew my issue was the the drivers themselves. While I am a complete newb at flight sims I am a Systems Engineer. And yes you are correct about the difference between USB 2.0 and 3.0. Many MB manufactures get this right however some do not. I am sorry you had problems with yours.

watch out for window's 8.1 fast boot options in the bios as on my msi xpower it only loads up the keyboard and mouse as default as it speeds up booting times and then loads all the other usb drivers after windows has started that can be a problem with some usb joysticks I reset the timings for my x52 and haven't had any problems since

Using Windows 8.x is a problem in itself ;)

I had problems when I tried to use my new Turtle Beach headset.

After uninstalling the pre-installed USB 3.0 drivers, it started working perfectly (I don't have anything that's USB 3.0 anyway).

Do not install the programming software, it's pretty unnecessary for this game.

Unless you want any macros, any leverage of the multiple modes available on the stick, or to use the "mouse nub" for anything other than a less-than-useful mouse control, or bind the "second trigger" to anything...

Yes I agree with DaveB got a lot of extra controls set for the game with the use of the programming software.
It might not be for everyone but if you can work with it you can get a lot out of it.

The drivers from this link are "update" drivers. I do not have the original driver disk for my x52pro. Can I use these drivers, or do I have to find the full driver package and the update?
I just now went to the Saitek site and successfully downloaded both the drivers and software for the X52 Pro.
