Let's face it. Frontier knows what they are doing when it comes to building and management games. It's clearly what they are most passionate about. They have a good amount of experience in the genre as well. For those being worried about past disappointments, consider this. ..ZOO TYCOON for Xbox wasn't entirely Frontiers. It also belonged to Microsoft. They weren't given total control over the project. They were also limited on what they were allowed to include so that it ran well on console, and so that it pleased it's target audience. It was business decision, even if a poor one. Zoo Tycoon for Xbox has a lot of faults, but what is does right...it does VERY RIGHT ..and if you look at the game as a whole, its a pretty darn good game for the young kids/causal players that it was targeted to. JWE is also not entirely Frontiers. It belongs to Universal. Whatever choices Frontier made it had to be approved by Universal. Frontier probably went in the direction they felt best worked for Universal. JWE also was designed with console players in mind. even so, It's a very good game that when it does something right..it does it very right. NOW moving forward ...why should we still be excited for Planet Zoo ? Well...Here are 5 good reasons.
1. Planet Zoo belongs entirely to Frontier.
2. Just like Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo seems to be for PC only.
3. The target audience for Planet Zoo seems to be for those who love hardcore Park & Animal management games. THE PEOPLE WHO WANTED MORE out of JWE and ZOO TYCOON.
4. They've made other similar zoo/park/management games in the past, and probably have gotten loads of feedback on what we as the players really want. They have more experience on what works and what doesn't. We've been asking for a game like this for a very long time.
5. They Made Zoo Tycoon for Xbox, and people were upset for all it lacked. This gives them a another chance to make it better.
