Agreed, part of the fun of being in the Beta will be seeing the game evolve. Though I'm looking forward to the features you mentioned at the moment I'm most excited to play the beta features beyond what I've already played in the 1.1 Alpha

I made a little mockup of just such a thing for an article the other day..

Flying amongst the clouds is probably a long, long way off, but it's still fun to think about.

Something else I am looking forward to in the shorter term, is procedural missions from station NPCs, I think it will add a lot of life to the galaxy. Just being able to get unique incidental waypoints rather than the fixed unidentified signals we have now.
