Hello fellow Commanders!! So I'm not a new player, but I've mostly played solo doing various activities and even have my own Fleet Carrier for exploration purposes sitting out in the void. I'm looking for an active exploration focused Squadron since that's generally where my interests have been since I started playing Elite years ago.

Hi there are a couple of good Alliance squadrons that might serve your interests:
Theres us "Allied Order of Exemplars" [EXMP], English speaking, White Knight Thargoid Advocates based in an asteroid base in the California sector. We are particularly suited to players with RL commitments/neuro-diversity. We have low BGS demands so are great for commanders who want to roleplay "missionaries" to the Alliance and its player groups. Our exploration activities tend to be relatively short range and linked to local mapping activities for sharing (particularly mining recon). And our cartography tends to go to nebula support targets. Being small, growing (especially on pc) and close knit we might not fit the bill in terms of high numbers of players.
You could try out "Flat Galaxy Society" who are much much larger with less restrictive rules and a more accessible BGS empire but they have an excellent exploration division Alliance Exploration Corps.
Then of course theres well known and established independent groups such as Children of Raxxla, SEPP, Canonn and the photography groups: one linked to New Pilots Initiative; SPVA, and A.C.E. Exploration who have interesting projects related to screenshot sharing amongst other things. All of these may be a good place to find the kind of group ur looking for.
These groups can be found on Inara and the forums but a good place to try asking is well known ED media groups and their discords I hope you get plenty of recommendations.
