Checking out Steamdb, a new unknown DLC has been added which could be big who knows? But what also is happening is that they just started pushing builds to the Planet Coaster final branches (after months to the trunks) which suggests that we should see an update soon. Considering how long it has been since the last big update, this could be big. Let's see!

As far as i know there's already a thread about the exact same thing. So the dlc or whatever is in the final branches for at least a week or so[yesnod].I hope they release something this week. Can't wait anymore.[uhh]
Usually Bo announces these things, and as She’s away, I thought any such announcement won’t be made until she returns, doesn’t mean ‘others’ can’t, I just don’t see it.
It sure does look like this will be a big update from what is shown on Steamdb. Hopefully we will get more flat rides and more transportation rides. I would like to see a water park or Midway Rides DLC get added to Planet Coaster. Or a Boardwalk style DLC with rides and shops that you would find on a boardwalk. I would like to make a boardwalk section of my park. Let's hope Frontier will make announcement soon.

After reading all your same posts about what you want in several similar topics, Frontier is aware now that you want more flatrides, transportation rides, midway rides, a boardwalk DLC, etc! At least we all do! I don’t think that endless repeating the same kind of post will be effective...

You can make boardwalk parks now. Look at what Fisherman and others are doing. It’s just that we don’t have a proper biome with ocean at one end. In RCT3 you could make the water appear to go out into infinity at one end depending on what level you placed it at. You could have a completely flat park with nothing outside the border. Here we are stuck with the skirt outside the park border. Grassland has the least amount of cliffs at the border of a flattened park and hills in the skirt.

Water rides would be great yes. Pools and slides, i'm still trying to figure out how I can make that fun....
I've seen a lot of video's from Silvaret, but I couldn't remember him saying he wants anything like this.
The great thing with the SteamDB stuff is that there is NO WAY to know WHAT is being updated in the game.
It could be anything from this "huge" speculated update......
Or a really small, tiny in fact, fundamental change or tweak that spreads all over the game that requires a lot of aspects to be re-loaded, causing a huge file size.
So, all I'm saying is speculate away, but hold your horses. Just because the SteamDB stuff suggests an increase in activity, there's absolutely NO way of telling what it is or when it's coming.
Just don't get ahead of yourselves and keep the wishful thinking at bay.

they said many times on the live streams they have no plans on doing that.
I don't watch the livestreams that often, but the ones I've seen this was never mentioned..... at least as far as I can remember.
So maybe they said it one time, but if it would have been many times I would have known.
I only know that weather effects wouldn't come (in the near future) as told in the streams.

If you look objectively at how all the systems in the game operate, it's really easy to conclude there will be no swimming pools.
Water slides are debatable, but still objectively seem highly unlikely. How would they send single peeps down the slide? The closest possibility comes from the one track ride that loads three separate cars as a group, and sends all three out.
