General / Off-Topic Loose leaf tea and the mess it makes

Soooo, im a bit of a plasticphobe, and of course all teabags contain plastic so id like to minimise my use of it via loose leaf tea, which i've drunk for many a year anyway but 50/50 with bagged for convenience...

but thats the problem, loose leaf is so much faff, and im using so much water to wash the remenants out my strainer down the sink, there has got to be a better way what im missing????? of course as much as i can get out goes in the compost bin but theres always leaves hiding in there.... and i consume like 10 cups a day so its not practical having 10 strainers around the kitchen and works kitchen

help?

Plunge the plunger, keeps all the leaves in a neat place, you can scoop them into the compost then.

I appreciate that there's a lot of plastic there, but keeping on using it is better.

Or you could just use a coffee filter French Press, and scoop stuff out with a spatula
