Loosing MATS at Material Trader...severe fault cause of server load???

fiber to premises? to house? wired connection from modem? just checking because some places have fiber to premises but still have copper to house...
to be honest im almost sure its affected by the recent network issues. i myself have had some networking tomfoolery happening and i have fiber to home and am on wire.
have you tried contacting support yet? if nothing else they shoud be able to restore your mats.
Yeah in Australia they call it "fibre to the node" with "last mile copper." I have this setup and haven't lost anything at the material traders ever, I will give them another run next time I am at a trader location, hmm may have to use some mats to do it though!

Happened to me again. Cross-traded 18x G4 data expecting 3x G4, transaction failure with 26x G4 data deducted and zero G4 added.
i once beat a vending machine to near death for stealing my money i recovered the twix in the end (good job it was not a milky way i suppose)
the swimming pool staff did not intervene me giving it a dam good kicking either........... (i should have cocked a leg for the inconvenience but dna is a factor

looks like it needs a new issue opened in the tracker hopefully more will vote on it b4 it expires
or simply tuff it out and dont use the traders...............
go old school like b4 traders even existed the mats are now much more attainable than in the past too due to the major nerfing
as for the tracker itself the expiry time to gather votes is far to short they really need to let them ride on fa longer periods imo

That's an odd thing to say. If the game needs time to do something, it can take it, absolutely as much as it needs. If instead it finishes a trade and restores the UI to permit the player to initiate another trade, but unknown to the player it isn't really ready, then that's 100% on FD. I have no clue how you could blame the player in this instance.
its a tad ironic that piggyback gaming on an Amazon shopping network it cant properly validate a micro transaction even though its peer to peer based

1. Go to the material trader's place and try to trade a grade 2 material. For example, trade 1 Tagged Encryption Codes for 3 Unusual Encrypted Files.
2. If the trade is unsuccessful, do a relog and return to step 1.
3. If the trade is successful, try to trade a grade 5 material. For example, trade 96 Adaptive Encryptors Capture for 16 Datamined Wake Exceptions.
4. If the trade is unsuccessful, return to the station services screen and then go back to the material trader's place. Try to trade the same materials again, but with the smallest possible amount. For example, trade 6 Adaptive Encryptors Capture for 1 Datamined Wake Exceptions.
5. If the trade is again unsuccessful, do a relog and return to step 1. This way only 6 Adaptive Encryptors Capture will be lost after the relog.
Another tip: Keep at least 1 Atypical Encryption Archives in stock when returning to Jameson Crash Site, because there was a bug that imposes a limit of 100 for zeroed grade 4 materials.

Material loss via trader still happening as of 21 March 2025. Spent several days trading data from Jameson crash site to Ray Gateway. 1st trade would sometimes fail with a small server error message in red. After a relog to menu the loss would be random, anywhere between 20 to 75 materials and unrelated to the number of materials I had requested to trade. Submitted ticket. Will be very careful from now on taking screenshots before the trade. I advise starting with low grade materials in small quantities to test if the trader is working okay

That sucks. A most annoying bug.
But I'd expect that if you submit a support ticket, they should sort it out for you.
Seems unlikely, when (AFAICS) the only ticket mentioned here expired a long time ago.
