I wanted to let this community know that a project I'm involved with called Lord of Rigel, launched a kickstarter campaign yesterday! Lord of Rigel is a turn based 4X space strategy game; we set out to create a worthy successor to such classics as the old Master of Orion series, and wanted to fill a void that we feel a lot of contemporary genre entries don't. One particular aspect of this genre we feel has been neglected by most titles of late is tactical combat - which is why we specifically focused on this aspect (as well as the rest of the game, including up to Legendary galaxy sizes).
I myself am a senior artist involved with the project, and have been responsible for designing, modeling and texturing our fleets. You can find out more about the project on our website. I figured fellow space game fan(atics) like myself might be interested in such a project
