[LORE] And Here the Weel on Audible

I'm a big fan of Audible. I first started listening to audio books when I was 10 years old, the Harry Potter books in Swedish and got hooked immediately.

The latest book I've picked up is And Here the Weel by John Harper on Audible. It tells the story of a Pirate struggling to stay one step ahead of both the Federation and the "Circle", a cult of Elite ranked pilots.
It's an amazing story that has opened my eyes to a new way of imagining the world of Elite. This audio book has a lot of music and sound effects, enhancing the story telling in a way rarely heard in most books.

Robert Garry, ex-military officer, wants nothing more than to maintain his integrity and his team's safety despite a career change to pirate leader, but a cargo freighter he targets proves to be holding much more than he bargained for. Will he escape with his own life, let alone the lives of his crew?
He has always shunned the 'folk hero' label but is he in danger of becoming an arch villain in the process?

Another really good serie is the Saga of Seven Suns. Not as much science in "science fiction" but still a very good space opera.

I have a question if anyone can answer...

I'm at a loss, confused, not sure WTH is going on in this book/story. I haven't finished it yet, not sure I'm going to because nothing is making any sense....

I've bought the audio version for Audible, it's stated as being an "unabridged" version, meaning that nothing was left out and is the same-full story you'd get in the original paper back, but I'm pretty sure something is missing!

At the end of chapter 6, and the beginning of chapter 7.... WTH happens?

Chapter 6 ended like: (these 'spoilers' really are spoilers if anyone hasn't read the book yet... don't say I didn't warn ye)

Robert in the crematorium, cremating you know who, the circle is coming to get him... he hears footsteps down the corridor, he readies his guns, then the woman from the bar runs in and offers him a way out.

Then, at the start of chapter 7:

The admiral is standing on the bridge of the behemoth (?) while his fleet amasses, some older ships appear, he thinks they are his old comrades, but it's a trap...
A minute later the story continues with Robert on a acceleration couch, half blind from being exposed to the vacuum of space, the "woman" sitting nearby, they go back and forth about her not understanding him and his (robin hood) life.

Uhm? What happened after the crematorium?

Fast forward to the end of Chapter 7....

Robert gets shot in the shoulder, then wakes up in a Federation hospital, two guys want a weapon back, they make a deal, Robert calls up that 'woman' (Gunn ?) and starts going on about how it's not the Emperor, and "it's like you told me about the Fort Donalds attack" etc etc, goes on about the prince.

Seriously?     did I miss? Is it me? My audio copy? I downloaded it on my PC with "AudibleManager" directly through Amazon, and on my phone through the Audible app... both say "unabridged".... is it wrong? Am I missing some HUGE chunks of the book here? Or is it written like this...with these huge fricken gaps that don't make sense and are what I would consider to be entirely too "expansive" to be considered a good book?! Seriously, any author who expects their readers to use <-------------------THAT----------------------------MUCH----------------------------> of their own imagination in order to fill in the blanks may as well write a book that only says the title and a plot summary, save everyone some time from having to read it.

Sorry... don't mean to rant, I've been having a hard time following this particular book and it's ticking me off... a lot of CMDRs keep making reference to certain things of certain Elite-books, so I'm trying to catch up, and this one....wow, I haven't been this hesitant to finish a book since grade school book reports.. and that was 20-some odd years ago.... and this is an AUDIO BOOK at that... how hard is it to "listen"?

So yah, if someone can tell me if I'm missing something or if this version is messed up or something, I'd appreciate it! (I downloaded the 'enhanced audio' version).

Thank you!

I had a really hard time following the audio book as well. Shortly after it was released to Audible the book was pulled from their catalogue. A week or two later it was back.

I have a feeling that the chapters were in the wrong order in the initial audible release and had to be reordered.
