[LORE/RP] Proud Empire citizens - did you ever took loan for your ship insurance?

I asked this question couple of times in other threads, but none of the Empire affiliated Commanders cared enough to reply :)

So, being a member of Empire is to be honourable. Having a debt is considered as a great dishonour.

From the Elite Dangerous website:

The Empire values both status and honour very highly indeed. So, whilst it is acceptable to flaunt wealth, treating people well is a question of honour - and this includes slaves. Having an unpaid debt is seen as utterly dishonourable - an honourable Imperial citizen would sell themselves into slavery to clear a debt they couldn't otherwise afford.

So, my (simple, really) question is to all of you, honourable members of the Empire, all of you that shout out about honour and being faithful to the Emperor and Imperial traditions and customs:

Did you ever took a loan for your ship insurance?

*Scratches head* Um... no. See, what happened was, there I was minding me own hows ya father and this bloke comes up to me and ses " 'Ere Joe, do you want to buy this big lump of tech some of the boys found out in the radiation zone?" Well, me being in, erm, that kind of business *sniff* I ses "Sure... lead me to it." Well, i didn't know wot to make of it at first. It didn't look too battered and wotnot and i figured i could strip it down and sell off the parts. Anyway, i was crawling around inside of it and i must have pushed something wiv me elbow or something cos the next thing i knew I was going up an up an up.... an then it all went black and i woke up a gazzilion miles away from 'ome and they all kept telling me i was in space an that I stole this bloke's spaceship and they were getting pretty annoyed when this cop comes along and.... anyway, long story short they said the spaceship was mine cos of some salvage law or something and then told me to bug... um, go away sharpish. So i did.

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought that there is / will be a loan mechanic so that I can purchase that Type 9 from the start then pay the loan in installments....

No - never.

Doesn't have any RP reasons though. I've never taken a loan, overdrawn an account or leased anything in real life either. I'd hate to be in debt and luckily, never had to be.

You haven't got an answer because the (simple, really) question is not just really simple but it's really simply offensive for us, honorable members of the Empire, instead, as you dare to publicly doubt how much honorable and faithful to the Emperor we are. Implying we are careless enough to be forced to take a loan, any loan, is actually offensive enough that the only answer can be silence or, in case you repeat such ridiculous questions, a warning: CMDR Mathias Shallowgrave, beware, upon meeting you, I, Earl Endereth Ernal, am going to take steps to clear my honor you have so mindlessly besmeared.

*puts a greasy creased card down on the table* I'll just leave this 'ere gents. (Joe Spivey esq. Affordable loans to the gentry. Contact etc.)

Never! I have known many who have had to dishonour themselves to with slavery to pay off their obligations. It is very simple, don't fly what you can't afford to lose.
