General Lore through GalNet

GalNet is extremely lack of news or something.
Is it possible to post news related to lore like - important political meetengs, cultural news(singers, actors, artists), science news(inventions (not) related to spaceships, like it was with vitadine nanohealers for future Odyssey), commemorative dates, news from frontier etc?
Not so big job, but galaxy will be lively.

Okay...I'll try it, although I shouldn't reply on this suggestion (but never mind):

GalNet is declared dead by Frontier Developements for a while now.
Please see this thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/galnet-changes.519008/

Another thing is: Frontier Declared Community Goals and Interstellar Initiatives on hold, because they were involved with the fleetcarrier update and further betas. So I'm very afraid that GalNet will not return until "Odyssey" if at all.

Why take out a fun and role playing aspect of the game? It makes no sense why the Galnet can't be updated with stories.

There was a decision published in the link Eliza gave not to include Galnet articles which don't have a direct and immediate connection to player-interactable in-game events.

I think that was a bad decision - too limiting in terms of foreshadowing things which might be significant in a year or two but are just background now - but in the short-term Frontier made a good job of running in-game events and tying them into Galnet and other sources through the Interstellar Initiatives.

But those Initiatives - while good fun - required more than just a writing team, because they needed lots of in-game content setting up ... one had an entirely new BGS state invented for it, one had the establishment of a new cluster of systems and the first sighting of a new Thargoid type, etc. So when they needed staff for Odyssey - not just writers, but developers too - that work got cut ... and because of the previous decision, there couldn't even be some "fluff" articles to keep Galnet going.

I'd hope they'd bring back Galnet, IIs, and other narrative with Odyssey ... and then plan their next release cycle a bit better so that they can do "keep the game going" things and "develop the game further" things at the same time.
