Losing fullscreen focus? Please Help!?

All,

I searched, didn't help :)

I'm running an i7, 16GB RAM, GT670-2GB across three 23' inch monitors (nvidia surround) and flying with a Logi G940.

FYI Loving it...

I do have a small problem. Every so often and it seems random, my screens flicker black (like I've ALT-TAB'd) and the usual 'Windows' mouse cursor appears in the center of the center screen. E: D stays 'on-screen', and my stick still works, but my pedals and throttle no longer have any effect in game. I 'click' the mouse and it drops me back to the desktop. ALT-TAB (or click the E: D client in the task bar) back into game and all is fine.

It's not a huge deal, but it's a real PITA when it happens during docking/combat or any other time when fine control of the throttle is important and I don't have the time to go through the "click/ALT-TAB" process...

Any ideas?

Do a malware, adware and virus scan. I had something similar and that fixed it.

I've been playing Windowed ED for a long time now (so I can alt-tab and refer to in-game) so haven't experienced this... but it sounds exactly like the issue I've had in the past with other games. I run dual monitors, and I don't know if that is part of it. With the other games I even went so far as to minimise, and even close, all other windows, and still sometimes had it happen.

I thought it might be something in the systray stealing focus somehow, but closing all I could in that didn't help either.

But in essence it feels like something in the game code that's sub-optimal, as many other games run fullscreen, on primary of my dual monitors, with other apps running and visible on the secondary monitor, with no such issues.

Basically, report it as a bug, give FD all the info you can, and see if they can track down the cause.

I have this problem right now, with nvidia also, running on 3 screens, PITA when in a dogfight. Got me killed only once though.. Did anyone get any luck with this? I realise its an old thread!
