Engineers Loss of ENG mods on death?

Just got my first ENG mod ever. Haven't died in quiet a while, but I would like to know. If I die and need to rebuy my ship, will I lose any ENG upgrades I have applied?

wish we would loose them at death - had hoped they implemented it that way... loosing Money is no real desth penelty :(

Aye. Those who reached the endgame at like one billion credits do not care about a kinor loss of 30 million credits. But losing the mods would also make them useless as the effort is simply too much.
Ic there would be a way where one could mod a module very fast by doing some other challenging stuff, okay, but at the moment it is just repeating basic and boring tasks until you reach your destination randonly as of RNGineers.

Speak for yourself! :p Some of us haven't amassed so many credits that we don't fear death. Not to mention loss of all those other things like exploration data.

I have about 600m credits liquide, plus about 400m in assets. I would very much care a lot about a loss of 30m credits.

Losing 20 million credits on a rebuy is not much, even if it does take 3 hours to make that money back. What We really need is for players to get kicked in the balls as a death penalty, right?
