you lost what? maybe 1 million plus your ship? rares are cheap to buy.. that's the point of them.. if you have any more then 120 of them, your doing it wrong and should be trading normal commodities for faster money..
Yesterday I had the same thing happen in my python with 276 cargo of imperial slaves, that's about 4 mill of cargo, plus 3.8m for my ship.. just shy of 8mill gone.. sure its a set back of a couple hours in either case.. remember who he is and go kill him later and get on with it
Im not sure why people have the need to come to forums and let other players know they are "done".. its about as useful as posting what your eating for dinner on facebook

I lost a cargo hold of rares while I learned the hard way that I can't scoop fuel from those purple suns... and I had no fuel left to jump to another system..

Exactly ^^ and what is he going to do when he loses a cargo that actually cost something? Thank goodness he is not representative of most of today's gamers. But there do seem to be quite a lot like that. Toughen up my man! This is just the beginning - worse things are going to happen in your Elite: Dangerous career. All you lose is some credits. Death is actually pretty meaningless in ED.
