Newcomer / Intro Lost all my ships

OK. Got myself in a bit of a pickle.

I did an on foot mission. When I got there I could not land at the base. Never mind I'll land outside and use SRV. On the mission I botched up and got sent to a penal colony. I though. Never mind I will go back to my home system via Apex, recall my ship and continue. When I got there I could not find anywhere to get my ship. I could not even get one of my other ships. Never mind I will go to the place where I was doing the on foot missing and collect my ship from there. Went to Apex. Found the system I wanted. The map told me what body it was on. But I had forgotten the name of the base. There are about 12 of them. Never mind I will go back to the penal colony and retrace my steps. No not allowed to go there. So I cannot find my main ship and I have no access to my secondaries. Whet do I do?

Doesn't matter. Go to any of them and recall your ship from orbit.

Its not in orbit. It is on the ground somewhere. How do I recall it from on foot. If I had an SRV I could do it, but I don't. This is my first on foot mission and I'm stuck.

Use the INSIGHT HUB (wheel?) and select the ship icon. Hope it helps

Yes. Just figured that out myself. The ship did not appear but I did get a blue teleport ring sitting on the ground by itself. When I used that I was teleported star trek style to my ship sitting 53m off the ground. Happy now. I have a ship. Thanks guy for pointing me in the right direction. Would never have found that on my own.

Glad you got it sorted. Btw, your ship automatically goes into orbit whenever you drive/walk far enough away (3km? can’t remember)

likewise if you die on-foot or in the SRV. You’ll either respawn in the Ship magically in orbit, or if criminal at a Penal colony.

you can also transfer the orbiting ship from inter-astra (on-foot shipyard) if you find yourself separated.

I always use Apex to get to mission destinations. If you die, your ship will be intact and Apex taxi's are pretty cheap.
