Lost an Eagle in the worst way

I recently docked up in my battered old Sidewinder for what I thought would be the last time. I ran my fingers over the console, wishing her a fond farewell. Her hull was at 62% after helping the Eranin Defense chaps in their endeavours against the Federals for quite some time. It was time for an upgrade.

I sold all her weapons, emptied her hold, counted my credits and hit the 'buy' button for a shiny new Eagle. I got excited as the station interface told me to 'stand by'. I couldn't wait. I've seen these beauties on the GalNet broadcasts.

So I waited. And waited. I tried to contact the shipyard again but they weren't answering. I went cold. My throat tightened. I looked at my credit balance...the money had been taken from my account but I had no ship. Forty thousand credits. Gone.

Luckily, the shipyard never came to collect my part-ex Sidewinder. Probably because one of their employees never registered the exchange and pocketed my credits. Looks like the old girl has to earn me some more credits before she's retired.

To the Azeban City shipyard worker that done run off with my dough; I hope you choke on it.

Has anyone else had a problem with these shipyards taking your hard earned credits and running off with them?

Yup I had this three times trying to buy a cobra .... But I don't care because this game is aaaaaammmmmmaaaaaaazzzzzziiiiinnnnggggllllyyyyyy superstastic!

You know... in my experience when things like this happen the best course of action is to end the client process immediately before doing anything else and so far its worked for me.

examples: Spent all my money on a new ship and fittings. Get ganged up on by 4 enemy players immediately after choosing a side, die. Instead of choosing the free sidewinder, i ended the process and after getting back in game i was plopped back into the conflict zone with my previously destroyed ship intact.
(This will likely be fixed soon, at least before final release so dont depend on it.)

And generally, if anything messes up transaction wise i just kill the client. If you re dock or go to a different area the game auto saves iirc which basically sets whatever messed up in stone.

Exactly the same happened to me - with a Cobra.

I'm now back up to $99,000 ish, going for the final push later to try for it again.

Yep same thing happened to me when trying to buy a cobra. Put in a ticket about it on Saturday afternoon GMT, no reply as of yet. The worst timing for me happening at the weekend.

Had the same issue Sunday night (yesterday)...gave all my money to the shipdealer (Azeban) for a shiny new cobra => crash to desktop => new start with me sitting in my rusty sidewinder and all the credits were gone  :(

I have already PN'ed Ashley about it and hope for the best

Yup :)

Easy come, easy go.

That is how I look at it. I don't really play for advancement right now as things can be lost due to a reset or a bug, thus I am already prepared to lose everything.

It is early days yet and we have the opportunity of early access. We get to peek and test the early buggy builds.

And this has now happened to me a third time since Alpha 4 - I'm now down 2 Cobra's and an Eagle. Think this bug is more annoying than anything else wrong with the game so far.

Death I can handle. Loosing 110,000 hard-earned credits for no apparent reason - not so much. (Yes, I know its still an Alpha. :) )
