Lost Custom Binding in Controller Dropdown Menu

Had to move my flight sim and must have plugged in the multiple usbs to different slots so now when I start the game it defaults to the wrong one. I can see the "HCS ThrustMasterHOTASWarthog3.0binds, 4.0binds, 4.1binds" in the Bindings folder, but there is no "HCS ThrustMasterHOTASWarthog" in the selection menu like there used to be. Any way to get it to show up like it used too? I thought about just redoing all the bindings and renaming the Custom file but thought I'd check here first.

I think there's a generated error report here IIRC

These issues generally arise when there's a missing defined hardware device. i.e. as missing Device ID object defined in the custom binding.

Yes that is what I did - old man thing, too many cables, buttons and switches. Think I'll just go ahead and set up VA Odyssey profile; was putting it off because of all the missing bindings I needed to build. I did check the error log - confirmed missing cable to devices. Thanks, much appreciated.

Got the drop down back. For anyone else having a similar issue - I went to VA Discord and found some tips in a post by Rogue Roxy - I created a new custom 4.0 and then created a new HCS custom profile and the VA Keybindcreator made it show up in game so I could then select it - bindings still there so back in the black.

there is also the lost bindings guide thats stickied at the very top of this pc subforum VA not required

i created my own VA voice pack from scratch so no hcs prefix required using sound samples from films such as Aliens etc for enhanced sound effects
for eg dropship hydraulic landing gear sound when landing i think VA is the mutts nuts(y)

thats not to say hcs voicepacks are not excellent but it really is so easy to make your own if you have basic audacity skills and as for VA programming the ui is so user friendly and intuitive it's almost criminal and as va is free for one game profile i cant recommend it enough and is almost essential for an excellent VR experience imo
