Lost data due to server reboot

I created a ticket on this item and have not heard anything back so I thought I'd post here.

I was on a 5k LY journey to unlock Palin. I had jumped 5k LY out over in the Jellyfish nebula and was exploring some planets. Slowly making my way back I found some ancient ruins and a few planets with materials I had never discovered before. I'm in my SRV collecting the materials when I get the server reboot notice, so I head back towards my ship. Not 2minutes after receiving initial notice of reboot in 20 or what is it 40minutes, the game crashed. NP, i think to myself, I had previously logged out after doing my 5k LY journey so it should be saved right? Well, I make it back to civilization and head towards the system to unlock the sirius permit and lo and behold to my utter disgust, I had only 2 pages of data to sell :(

Is there any way for devs to fix this or is this lost forever? I mean, I am linked with inara, and it seems to have my entire flight log there, yet the universal cartographer only saw fit to give me credit for a couple of pages of scans?

Any response would be nice?

That's a bit weird.
Following a crash i only had rather minor rollbacks.

As in I crash in system X, after relog i found myself in the previous system - basically just before initiating the jump to system X.
So one system lost worth of exploration data, but not more.

Also, 2 pages of data to sell means like 100 systems (if both pages were full) - which seems just right for a 5000 ly trip

For example i took a trip Bubble - Colonia - SagA - Bubble (with some exploration detours - so not strictly travelling), that was about 65000 Ly and i hit/explored like 600 systems

is palin unlocked?
and almost a noob question here by a veteran
so if I were to just jump on a carrier that was say going to colonia would that unlock palin?
or do you have to jump that distance via ship like when small furry creatures from alpha………..

so if I were to just jump on a carrier that was say going to colonia would that unlock palin?
The game has to see your ship jump to a system that's >5000ly away from the start: the trip on the FC itself will not unlock Palin, but the moment you leave the FC and jump to a nearby system, it will.
On the other hand, if you always stay in the same system as the FC, then it will not be recognised.

For example, if you go to Rackham's Peak, that is more than 5kly away, but only reachable with a FC, it does not count.
For obvious reasons, Colonia will work, just jump somewhere else when you arrive!

edit: ninja'd

so I could effectively jump on carrier do a single jump and complete palin
I see...……………... that's not how we had to do it. back in the day..…………………………...

actually there was a exploit were you could just force land somewere?
and unlock him if I rem correctly think it was on an old d2ea vid

I'm trying to rationalise that. There is an explanation that fits. When the game crashed, were you about to die and you helped the game to crash? I'm only asking, not suggesting.

What's written in your game log files?
