I went to founders world to buy a python since its only 51 million there. I saved up 39 million credits and the cost of my ship(type 7) 22 million credits. I went to in the menu to buy the python and clicked the option to trade in ship along with credits in bank to buy python. So 39+22= 61 million, the ship only cost 51 million there. 61-51=10 million. I only got 1 million back.I was going to get a FSD with the money left over,now I am stuck, managed to get to sol. Cant trade because my FSD only jumps 8 light years and 6Ly(cant jump anywhere) at full cargo. I can't afford to go anywhere else because fuel costs. I also submitted a ticket but didn't get a response from them.

Known bug. The discount doesn't work on ship prices. But if enough people get screwed by this and submit enough tickets maybe they will eventually get it fixed.
Hardly worth selling.. best off just buying new. Always nice to have a ship or three for those Sunday drives in the country 
I think your question should rather be "has anyone ever had a response to a ticket"?

Its called a bug. They calculate the display price right but fail to include the discount in the buy price. This indicates they don't have a single function or method to apply discounts or else they failed to call that function/method in the purchase routine.
Its unfortunate for you, but since its a bug, you can raise a ticket and ask for a refund in credits. At the same time raise a second ticket to mention the issue directly.
