Lost progress?

Dears,
I would like to ask for your help.

I haven't played in a while, last year I have been grinding exploration until I finally got the money for a Python. I bought the Python, outfitted it, this was the last thing I remember doing sometime in 2019. Yesterday I have logged in to the game and all I had was an ASP Explorer (i think, all I cared about is the Python), the ship which I used before the Python. I was sad and angry, also my Hotas controls were not transferred from my old computer from last year, so I couldn't even land with this ship, got blown up in the docks and I - couldn't think clearly at this point - clicked on going with the fresh Sidewinder. So now I have a new Sidewinder and around 2 mil credits.

Could you please check where did the Python disappear to? Has there been a bug or a rollback? Or simply my savegame hasn't been synced to the cloud?
I really don't want to start from the beginning given I don't have much time to grind, but if you say that all of this is my fault, I can live with it. However, please check and advise what has happened.

Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Laszlo

all the updates without login in a nutshell
they have gone on your last archive cloud save as more recent may have been incomplete or corrupt for some reason hence the asp
also a lot of people seem to think they can keep new ships bought during a beta server testing...………….for eg (fleet carrier beta running atm)
and they cannot, all achivements earned during a beta test are lost when the beta server closes

The key bindings are stored in a local file on your computer, if you didnt transfer the file from your old computer to you new one there is othing fdev can do.

Do you use inara, if so can you see transactions of you buying the python, was this done in live.

If you got blown up in the Python, then chose the Sidewinder, you declined to pay insurance and the Python is gone.

To turn the sidewinder into something else quick, fly it to a haze res site and wait till the NPC cops are shooting an NPC pirate. Shoot the pirate. Not a lot, just once.

When the cops blow the pirate up you will get a voucher, take to the authority contact in your local station to convert to money.

Rinse repeat until you can afford something more fun to fly.

I believe Kadaklan was saying that he used to have a Python, but when he logged back on, the only ship he had left was their old AspX, which they never used. After being killed in the AspX, Kadaklan refused the insurance fee and got put into a new Sidewinder

Hmm, rereading I'm not sure.

@kadaklan

If you go to a station with a shipyard, there is a tab called transfer. If your python exists you should be able to see it on that tab.
