Lot more people visible today....

Don't know if anyone else has this feeling, but I seemed to notice a lot more players around today - at the stations I seemed to see a fair few players.

Maybe it because I've just come in from a tour of some of the outer systems and it feels more crowded, but it seems to me there have been some tweaks to the instancing recently that have pulled more players together.

Anyone else notice this?

I try to interdict, I shout "hey you! Pull over...." They never pull over....

i think part of it is that player confidence has increased, now we have groups of people dedicated to both hunting the station campers and giving away free gold to those that need a quick boost people are starting to play in open a lot more.

I would if I heard it! Had a call from a viper today that said "Pullover" or words to that effect. I answered on comms "Why?"....No reply! ooops! maybe I did hear you
Next time I'll try and be more sociable if I'm not sure it's some bot

I've also noticed more players around both in and out of frameshift the last couple of days. Optimizations/changes on the matchmaking server maybe?

Yesterday a snuck in a bit of playtime during lunch and saw lots of players everywhere...and that was on a Monday.

Yes it seems to have improved recently, I think there has been some changes to the way servers are working. I notice for example that as of last night I always connect to the same server and if I block that with firewall it wont connect to any others, implying that they are funneling everyone in open play into the same server.

Maybe stress testing the server, getting to the 32 player limit?

It is great to see loads of Blue tails, and definitely gives an extra frisson to getting docked safely as humans are somehow much more random in their behaviour

Anyways, we were in SC and got a few messages back and forth before we lost each other - I got interdicted.

One entry to Change was very strange every single pad was lit up, never seen it like that, I was too surprised to press F10. Made finding my own pad that much trickier.

Most players entering / leaving ports just seem to want to ignore you though.

Yes! I noticed this too.

Always connecting to just one IP now, with no secondary if blocked.


And I met FIVE other players at Freeport this evening at once!
