Lots of Cargo..... but errrr zero cargo?!?!?!? - "unable to authenticate transaction

I have an issue that all of the slots in my Cargo hold are showing as full, but when I go to display Cargo I am showing as having zero cargo. The background to this was

• Yesterday I was purchasing 32 Tonnes of Cargo from Ellis Port in Moros.
• I purchased the Cargo but got an error along the lines of "Unable to authenticate transaction"
• However, when I looked at my Cargo the 32 Tonnes we showing and no money had been taken!!! Bonus!
• So I made a run to Dana Port to sell them, but when I tried I got an error saying "unable to authenticate", however all cargo slots are still taken up and I am unable to sell them.
• I decided to log out and see if it fixed itself overnight
• This morning I logged in and the cargo is gone from the Cargo hold view, but when I go to the Commodities Market it is saying I have no space (all 32 slots in use), even though there is nothing in there.
• Any ideas??

I've logged a ticket but will be gutted if I lose my progress....

Have a look on the right hand computer, you'll probably find you have some cargo you didn't know about.
For example cargo from a mission which you can't sell

I have same issue as OP. Have full cargo hold, am unable to sell any of the cargo. Logged in and out several times with no effect. I cannot sell the ship or the cargo holds due to cargo being full. The ship cargo contents (24 mineral extractors) intermittently shows up commodity markets (open and solo log ins) and the side menu shows cargo space: 24 out of 24 used. This does not show on the cargo tab (right hand computer) within the ship which indicates 0/24 capacity.


All in all, am pretty much stuck in terms of game play now, cannot trade, sell or store ship.

Same here. Cant play because cargo seems full but cant sell anything. Cant store ship due to invisible stuff in my cargo bay. Getting a bit frustrated with the game over the past few days...

Yes, i know what youre saying.... however, when I do this it shows NOTHING. But at the commodities market it says I am FULL.

Very annoying! I'll see what they come back with from the ticket I have raised. Thanks for the response though, and glad to see I'm not alone

I logged a ticket too, and stubbornly refused to play for hours, as I couldn't even jump due to a cargo scoop bug. Then I thought, fuggit... Ii'll just suicide, and I'm back in action. It's a bit of a hit you've to take, though...

That cant be the answer though can it? It will cost me a fortune. Plus, They need to fix it. Luckily this time I may only lose 50 - 70,000 credits, but it still a big hit to take. Plus, if it happens in 6 months when hopefully I am doing trade runs for a lot more it may cripple me.

I suppose for now I could just go bounty hunting or something

Funny Fact:

I had a "Leathery Egg" from Ridley Scott station in my cargo bay when the bug showed up. I looked at my cargo and wanted to sell it, but suddenly it just wasnt there... I thought i will see a bloody spot with some brain parts on my windshield in a few seconds. ESC -> Save and Exit.

This was caused by the server problems yesterday, I'm stuck in a similar situation with cargo bay full but no way to offload it. I'm not suiciding as that'll cost 5m cr.

In the 1.02 patch thread FD said to raise a ticket if you still have a problem, but in the mean time can't play arg....!

Problem still remains after 1.03. Cannot sell, jettison the cargo, cannot buy as cargo holds still come up as full on commodity market....

Ack! Decided to self destruct the cobra and not rebuy, thinking that the value of the cobra would stay in my account, so picked up a sidey instead. I lost 900K doing that. Gutted. and pee'd off

I had to self destruct my cobra the other day as well, funny thing is i just got a server message to tell me a new patch was due out in 20 mins and the servers would be down.

So i landed to get rid of my cargo but could'nt, jettisoning the cargo only to find it reappear after i jump\land. In the meantime the patch came and went and i was stuck with this damm cargo .....so no option Boom!!

To be fair to me, the interface giving the choice of a sidey or spending 45K insurance didn't indicate I would lose the value of the insured cobra. This could be clearer.
