Just had to write this.

I love Elite and everything about it, the artwork, gameplay/mechanics and community. Ive seen alot of games over the years and every one with its own gaming community and every one is different. As i grew older and got married and had kids things changed for me as alot of games wernt appealing anymore and the spacesim genre kind of died. So there wasnt anything out there that i felt like i could really go for anymore untill ED. ED is the perfect game for me, it has a big friendly mature community, it allows for gameplay that can be very casual to hardcore and grinding it out untill you can buy that awesome ship that gives you more possibilities in the game.

I just cant say enough how much i love Elite. Everything about it is just perfect for me. FD THANK YOU SO MUCH! And many many credits for this awesome gaming community that welcomes everyone with an interest for Elite.

And then the fact that there is still so much more to come makes me all warm and fuzzy inside :cool:

The problem was with the Elite games is that they really elevated game play to a new level. That was also a pain as everything else out there just didn't come up to the emotional connection I made with the games. Thus Frontier Developments really messed me up playing games. Once you experience Elite everything else just doesn't seem to make it anymore.

Maybe I should sue FD for messing up my life of gaming experiences! Well probably not...they ported it to the Amiga and that was awesome! :)

Per aspera ad astra - all I can say.

I was skeptical during Kickstarter. But game, community, idea grown on me. Despite some disagreements, or maybe disappointments...We are getting there. Game we all wanted to play for so long.
