Lovely Goids shooting directly to the power plants

Last night hunting the goids, I had the "pleasant" surprise to see an enemy that can shoot directly thru my shields destroy my power plant with myself without any chance or strategy to counter it. Even with reinforcements, the power plant doesn't last much and the fight gets ridiculous, with my ship with around 80% of hull and most of the other modules almost intact, and the goid giving insta-kill shots to my power plant, freezing my ship. This isn't challenging and exciting, it's boring! The game had just reached a very good balance, ad with the addition of the medusa, it would be amazing to hunt it down with a wing of friends, but insta-kill on power plants from an enemy that doesn't miss the shoots and shoot thru the shields ? Ridiculous. Time to give Star Citzen a try...

1) Thargoids have always done hull damage/module damage even with shields up
2) Are you running power plant mods that lower integrity perhaps? OC5 or something?
3) Are you using power priority settings to keep critical systems online with only 50% power?

This^^

Specifically, 3.
If you have bad power management, when you lose power, all the important stuff goes offline. Leaving you dead in the water, so to speak.
You NEED, at absolute minimum, your thrusters and FSD at power priority 1, in order to survive power failure and escape.
Ideally load up power priority 1 with essential systems until just before you hit the 50% mark, that way, all those systems will stay up no matter what happens to your power plant.

Those are Thargoids, a more advanced specie compare to humans with higher tech ships and weapons so... work as intended.

that's actually the idea, they're good for those who love challenges .. that's not my case either, i respect that.

I guess that will come to the next targoid update easier to eliminate small hunters, or that future weapons will be more efficient or other ship like the T10 under construction.

we must not forget that this game is planned for a few more years of development.. I write for rodolfoccorrea [noob]

Go ahead, I heard that the alien invasions are so much better in Star Citizen! :D

I also have a big doubt about Star Citizen .. their videos of presentations are epic and they sell ships with real money .. one to more than 900 euro .. it smells the scam this thing.. but go ahead yes, I'm waiting for the return I'm not confident there.

they are attacked in court, by the way, Crytek the attacks.. graphic engine steals, it smells manure!

there is still something to know about Chris Roberts, the designer of the star-citizen .. he was fired by Microsoft (freelancer game) to be too ambitious. I prefer to wait quietly until this game is over.

Gents, I love the challenge of the game, and before the latest update, it was fantastic! My complain was that with the goids aiming directly to our power plants, it's only a matter of time to get the power down, no matter what you do. I've added two module reinforcement to my Conda and helped a lot, but still boring, not challenging.

And the Type 10 .... I've give up on this, as both the Cutter and Anaconda are better ships at this time to hunt the Thargoids. better positioned hardpoints, faster and more maneuverable. I did not confirmed yet the maximum hull achievable by the T10, but the conda can reach 7K easily and with a 7CBi-weave, it's definitivelly a better Thargoid Hunter.

I will try the Type 10 a little bit more, but I can foresee coming back to the conda...

O7 commanders!!!
